Working and living in Puerto Morelos and specializing in the immediate area allows me to transfer to you what I have learned living here full time for the past 10 years. Condos, homes, land, and the developing jungle suburbs in and around Puerto Morelos are my specialty. I have also traveled and studied the markets in 2 new up-and-coming areas specializing in commercial beachfront properties, boutique hotels and land for investment. Over 8 years ago I began researching and visiting the hottest new investment spot of Mahahual, which is located 3 hrs. south of Tulum, and is on the developing peninsula called the Costa Maya.. Five years ago I ventured 3 hours north of Puerto Morelos to the island of Holbox, and I now represent existing commercial properties on this up and coming island famous for the whale shark pods that visit annually, attracting worldwide attention. All three areas were, and still are, fishing villages, and all have an indigenous community that existed long before tourism became the catch of the day! Ten years ago when I arrived here we were banking on an increase in consumer interest in this region. Now it's the largest tourism area of Mexico. The Riviera Maya is responsible for 48% of all tourism dollars in Mexico. World economics fluctuate, and while we are not always certain of their direction, I can be certain that the second largest barrier reef in the world, stretching down the longest coastline in the Caribbean, has only so much available beachfront property, and it is still being purchased at an impressive rate.
